Love Like A Rainstorm

To set the context: My current life song has been Samurai Sword by Highasakite.  I love deep/sad music because it helps me connect to the parts of me I don't always know how to address. I have been listening to this on repeat for days. I showed this song to Noemi when I got to Texas and we both had it on repeat during the trip. She is also a 4 on the ennegram (if you don't know your number look it up).  Sunday night we decided to stay in and eat homemade flan (although I was not allowed into the kitchen). The rain began to fall. It was gentle at first and quickly became a thunderstorm.

Love Like A Rainstorm

Rain falls down
All I can do it look out the window
I see your beauty
It scares me
I know you are reminding me of your majesty
But I want to know if you care about my heart
The wind blows in
I feel the chill

Light flashes,
Lightning fills the sky
Purple Flashes of fury
You are close,
I can't look away.
I have no place to run.

CRASH, BOOM
The Thunder makes my bones shake
The room sways
I am still insignificant
The rain pours out

The power goes out
The doors are shut, the rumble is too loud
I am worried
The rain rages on
I am still insignificant

A message is received
there is a tornado warning
How much more can I take?
Fear fills my heart.

My friend tells me,
"Let us Pray."
I say,
"I know you are trying to get our attention."
I have to face you.
Three stories high
Flash floods below
Tornado outside
"Here I am."
Arms open wide

What did you hear, my friend ask
Tears fall down my eyes
He is going to love me like a rainstorm.

The wind slows down
The rain becomes gentle
Power is restored
The light in the sky fades.
My heart is calm.
I am ready to embrace.
I am ready to love like a rainstorm.
